Enthusiasm?

Can you purchase it?
Cannot summon a single bit of it, for any of the various things that litter my work area.
Even considering......................shock,horror!! Packing it all in.

  1. You can't buy it. You can't steal it. You can't even make it. But what you CAN do is set a trap, lure it into the open and then when it least expects it, jump the b*stard from behind.

Try entirely cleaning up your work area and picking just one thing to work on. Works for me every time. Worst case scenario you have a clean work area. ;-)

  2. No no no. Bad Nigel!!! Don't even consider it. It would be a terrible waste of talent.

  3. In my experience the enthusiasm waxes and wanes over the years. Wait a while, do some other stuff and don't worry about it, then one day you'll just fancy doing a little something, or realise that you're missing it... :-)

  4. I always found it comes in waves, and like water, it gets spread out over many areas.

If it's feasible, just putting stuff aside usually takes care of the short bouts of what is basically fatigue. Enjoy something else you like in the meantime.

  5. If you can buy it let me know as I need some too, lol.

As above say is comes and goes like a lover in the night

  6. It happens. Dwelling on it will only cause a spiral and just make you more browned off, so let it go and do something else. In a while you'll see something or read something and it'll give you the burn again, so no worries.

Given that all the advice here is consistent, there must be something in is cos we can't all be wrong.

  7. Agree with all the other contributors, do something else for a while, and then you'll no doubt start to miss all the little lead men!

  8. Clear the decks, take a break for a few days, then see what floats your boat. Don't give up!

  9. I've packed away the bulk of stuff laying on the desk, and left a couple of nearly finished figures on there. Now spending a while messing about with video, and the other daft thing I do in my free time.............Paranormal Investigation, oh yes, I am that mental :-) Thanks for the support gang, keep watching this space, he shall return.

  10. Much better, Nige. Don't quit- it's a waste of talent, and you'll regret it in a while.
